Henry is 27 months!

Our red haired little Irishman is having a great month so far and gearing up for St. Patty's Day! We've been capitalizing on the days of warmer weather and getting outside every moment we can. This year when he says "park" and "walk" he's serious, and has been actually walking all the way to the park (5 blocks) sans the wagon! And there is a LOT of exploration that happens along the way. I laugh a little at Henry's observations en route as our neighborhood is quite unique. Many of us still have Christmas decorations up, which Henry loves, and he always comments on the "snowflake" on a nearby house. He loves to point out the letters on neighbor's yard displays and numbers on the street signs. He greets and then chases their cats, and talks to all the birds and squirrels too (of which there are MANY). We have him trained to stop into the coffeeshop on the corner to say hello (and purchase a favorite momma caffinated beverage and Henry's cookies!) saying hello to the staff there who know him well. What I would have ran in two minutes pre-Henry usually averages us about 20min... but it's always a wonderful treat:)

Henry has had a few of the "bugs" that seem to be going around, as well as his mommas, but he's bounced back relatively quickly after some days with extra snuggles and occasional antibiotics:). We will see Dr. Raghuveer, Henry's cardiologist, next week to check in on Henry's heart, but other than this we've hit a relatively steady routine lately. So, perfect time to shake things up a bit- Henry is going to preschool! On a wonderful recommendation from Aunt CoCo and Uncle Bob, we found a sweet little Montessori school close to home that Henry will start to attend next month. We plan to start him part-time and see how things go, knowing that our schedule allows for some flexibility right now. We are really excited to see how he likes it and start learning with Henry as he grows!

As always we've had a lot of fun with family this past month. Early this month we had a fun visit from GG and Papap from St. Louis and attended a women's KU game in Lawrence (see above pic!) where Henry met Big Jay... who he high fived! We made it to the Brookside St. Patrick's Parade this past weekend with Grandpa Bridges, Uncle Jon and cousin Phoenix and had a great time (see picture below!). Julie and Henry plan to attend the St. Patricks Day parade in Westport on Thursday with Uncle Bob, Cousin Leo and Finn, so by the end of this month Henry will have really gotten in touch with his inner Irishman:)!

Hope you all have a wonderful March, experience all kinds of Irish luck and many kisses this week!

Much love,

Kate, Julie and Henry
