April 2014

Spring is right around the corner (thank goodness!) and after our most recent snow (yesterday!), we're excited about a little warmer weather and everything that comes along with it!!  We've started visiting the neighborhood parks again and celebrated Fountain Day in KC when they turn on all awesome fountains again.  GG and Papap built us a sandbox in the back yard for Gus' birthday and the boys can't get enough of it- shoes off and all!  There may be a constant film of sand on the first floor of our house, but we're happy campers:)

Henry started soccer this month, and though we're not MLS material yet he sure loves kicking the ball around (and looks super cute in his uniform!)!  We have the ultimate celebration of arms thrown in the air after scoring a goal down pat.  If it ever happens in a game, we know he'll be fully prepared:)

We're considering kindergartens for Henry this fall and have three really good options we've narrowed it down to.  It's a challenge to think about what he might need in his school years and where he might fit best, and we've tried to be very cautious about this decision.  He will be tested by the KC School district for a determination of what services he will continue to qualify for, so we'll have a flurry of additional appointments and meetings to address these needs.  We're excited about what is ahead of him and feel confident there are some wonderful opportunities in store for him.

I was very beautifully celebrated for my birthday the beginning of this month.  I can't think of anything more sweet that a happy birthday serenade led by Momma J and sung alongside Henry and Gus.  Best day ever:). We are wishing you many beautiful celebrations ahead as well and can't wait to celebrate spring with you all very soon!

Much love!

Kate, Julie, Henry and Gus
