May 2014

Spring has sprung and we're trying to get outside to soak up every second we can of this beautiful weather!  It honestly feels like it snuck up on me this year has gone so quickly!  We've been busy, but we're enjoying the chaotic bliss:).

Henry has officially graduated from pre-school! He has made so many wonderful friends and we couldn't have wished for a more supportive environment as he readied himself for Kindergarten!  He will start a grade school program in August at a downtown charter school and we are all really excited (and nervous... but more excited:) about this new chapter! He will require ongoing support from OT and speech therapies, which we have outlined in an IEP with the KC school district, and we know he will benefit from these ongoing therapies.  Henry will begin in a pre-kindergarten program for extra support in readying him for the more formal classroom, and we're excited to see how he does.  We feel overwhelmed with gratitude when Henry hits these milestones and fortunate when we think of how far he has come!

Henry had a great Cardiology appointment this month.  Dr. Raghuveer had a good report for us and was very complimentary on Henry's growth over the past year. We will return in 6 months for our next check up!

We kept busy doing the usual things we enjoy in summer in addition to the soccer league, the KC Zoo, and one Saturday the March of Dimes walk with some coworkers and Henry's classmate.  We're looking forward to lots more busy weekends to come!!

Much love,

Kate, Julie, Henry and Gus
