Summer summer summer time! We were able to visit some of our favorite people and places this month, and as always pictures tell a much better story than words!
Henry was diagnosed with Tetrology of Fallot and Pulmonary Atresia with MAPCAs and the genetic syndrome 22q deletion during our pregnancy. After he was born Henry was determined to have no pulmonary arteries (PAs) and given a very poor prognosis. A cardiac cath at 5 months old determined he did in fact have PAs and since then he has had two heart surgeries: the Central Shunt in 2009 and "Tetrology Repair" in October of 2010. His spirit is not captured in the medical jargon which is why we started to tell Henry's "real story" via the blog. We hope you enjoy it!
