December is always a special month for us, and it seems like it always goes far to fast with all of the celebrating. We celebrated our birthday boy on the 5th as Henry turned 6! I remember his birth date like it was yesterday and I simply cannot believe the ways he is grown in the last year. He has transitioned to grade school (!) with amazing energy and he continues to amaze us with his ever changing interests. He can now write many things including everyone in his family's (and many extended family's) names, all of the days of the week and months of the year and has a newfound love for calendars! We made a new calendar for the upcoming year and had fun placing everyone's birthday picture on their birthdate! Henry had a Cardiology appointment this month and he continues to impress his providers! Dr. Raghuveer gave him a pep talk (really for Mommas:) about eating healthy and cutting out sugary foods and drinks from his diet. Surely not the last time that talk will happen! She shared with us a cath was likely in his future to monitor his pulmonary function, (maybe this summer?) though was very happy with Henry's heart health. We celebrated his birthday at a local gymnastics gymnasium with his family and we had an amazing time celebrating him. As always we feel so blessed having him as our son and are so grateful for every moment with this amazing kid!
Christmas was a blast and we were able to soak in some much anticipated time with both sides of the family! Our celebrations included visiting Union Station and watching Polar Express on Christmas Eve Eve, cookie making with the Bridges, wonderful Christmas concerts at both Henry and Gus' schools, and Christmas morning celebrations in St. Louis! Many smiles and extremely thankful for every minute we had with our loved ones:)
Much love and a very Merry Christmas,
Kate, Julie, Henry and Gus
