Update

Henry was discharged home yesterday and is on the road to recovery.  He was met with by PT yesterday morning who helped Mommas feel more confident in carrying, helping him to continue to bear weight on his good leg to keep it strong and help to use DME during his recovery.  We feel like he is feeling much better today (see picture below:)!  Still hurting, but from what he can tell us the pain is lessening every day.  He has been sitting up more each day post-surgery and more "active" (within respective guidelines:).  He is still on medications for the pain, so still sleepy on and off throughout the day.  We are looking for logistics of how to keep everyone happy and safe in the household, and are happy to have support and love of GG in the process!  We are so happy to be home as is Henry and together with Gus again.  I'm anticipating lots of opportunities for artwork and creative outlets as he heals, and will definitely be posting his masterpieces in later posts!  As always, thank you for all of the continued thoughts and prayers for our family.
