We decided a pumpkin patch trip was very necessary and squeezed in the trip at the end of September. Henry loved all the "spooky" pumpkins and seemed to mostly pick out the ones that were twice his weight to take home. We decided on two cute (and very carryable) ones accompanied by a basket of picked apples- it was an awesome trip! We did our usual run of the mill things as well and visited the zoo several times- Henry was so excited that GoGo got to come with us as well! One of our favorites spots is the sea lion show- just as much so Henry can dance to the music as it is to see all their awesome tricks! Always a fun time:)
Barring any last minute cancellation or sicknesses, Henry's surgery will be this upcoming Monday. We're as ready as possible and are thankful to have support from friends and family, coworkers for support and grandparents in caring for Gus during Henry's recovery. We know the typical stay for this type of "update" surgery is an average of between 7-10 days, but also not to plan on anything as Henry will let us know what he needs. We thank everybody in advance for all the thoughts and prayers- I feel like they are always a blanket that surrounds us during these times and very appreciated. I will do my best to post daily during his hospitalization. I can't promise you there won't be Disney movie references like last time, but hope that won't be a deterrent:)
Much love,
Kate, Julie, Henry and Gus
