Surgery Day #8

Needed the "good tissues" for tears of joy this morning! Great report during rounds after a bit of a shaky evening post-extubation. Henry had a restful night with bipap support and maintained all the needed measures (refer to picture of monitor and all the values it captured). He seemed a bit restless this morning, so nursing got him in our arms.... might be top 10 best day ever?!?! I might not leave this chair for days:). The plan today includes weaning the bipap settings (slowly but surely), weaning the last heart medication he is on and watching him for signs of discomfort and/or withdraw. Hoping for peaceful day of snuggles!
