Henry is having a great day today! He had a busy night on the floor last night with breathing treatments, medicine and vitals... pretty similar to the PICU but much more laid back atmosphere. It was a busy night, but much needed treatments and rest in between visits. And definitely rested enough to play
twice in the playroom! The playroom is a large room on Henry's floor that has loads of toys, books, balls and crafts for children to explore. Henry and Mommas visited this AM and looked at several toys with a period of him standing on his own. Henry visited this afternoon with PT during which he walked to the door of the room and played for at least 30 minutes mostly on his feet or at a table. Amazing progress and a tired boy tonight. The playroom is definitely an incentive we will be using again tomorrow! Gus came up for a visit and Henry lit up with smiles- was so sweet and warmed our hearts. We are all ready to get back to our wonderful normal:)
In rounds they discussed his progress and the goals remain the same- eat well, move more and breathe deeply (good for us all!). Pictures capture our day better than words so I included a few of the following...
