Surgery Day #22

Very chill day for Henry! Lots of snuggling with both grandma and momma over the course of the day, thankfully, in effort to keep pain medication to a minimum. They started Henry on some food again (Pediasure through his NG tube) and his belly has been distended as a result tonight. Stomach x-ray showed no blockage, only gas... so we're hoping things progress as they should in that department! No growth on the cultures taken after Henry spiked his last minute before surgery temp- so good news. They will continue to watch this for the full two days and from talk amongst the providers we are hoping Friday might be a possibility for the surgery. Again, not holding our breath (remember hospital time), but hopeful that we can start moving forward again when Henry's ready:)

Very big side note- we're aunties again to the sweetest little boy named Finn Michael Lafferty:) We met him on his birth date tonight and he's just a cute as the rest of his family (which is a lot!)! We gave him kisses from Henry and promised him a good friend in his cousin! We hope everyone gets some good rest after the exciting day!
