Henry had a good day today! Tummy is big but looking better and LOTS of holding and snuggling to help:) Henry's surgeon, Dr. Lofland, is back on duty so we're happy that he will be completing the plication soon- which we think will happen either tomorrow afternoon or first thing Friday (again not holding our breath!). All news we hear is good about how he sounds/looks/how his labs appear, so we seem to be on track for movement! More on that soon!
I survived my first (half) week back to work without losing my mind, and Julie managed to hold down the fort by herself like a pro (as always:). I plan to hold Henry for the next couple of days straight, so if I seem a little off that's why! We're getting excited about Halloween in the PICU and can't wait for Henry to debut his attire... and of course we will share pictures:) The "wildlife" is taking over around here (thanks to some wonderful friends and family!) and Henry has no idea what fun he is in store for when he wakes up! They look innocent enough in the picture, but who knows what happens when Henry falls asleep (see below:)! As always thanks for keeping up with our guy and sending all your thoughts and prayers for what lies around the corner!
Much love,
Kate and Julie
